Cutaway Backing

Cutaway backing is normally used for knit fabrics and tearaway backing for woven fabrics.

How small should the initials be on a mans dress shirt?

* Traditionally, the initials should be small enough to be discreet, but large enough to be read 1/4" - 5/16" is normal. We have two petite styles that include both of these sizes.

Where can they be placed?

* Placement on the top of the wrist, and from 1" - 1 3/8" toward the buttonhole from the center of the cuff.

Is it best to use only first and last initial?

* This depends on style and the number of initials in the name - not everyone has a middle initial. When the initials used are all the same height, the traditional letter order is first initial, middle initial, last initial.
