That Darn Cat - 1965

Movie: That Darn Cat - 1965

Director: Robert Stevenson

Synopsis: This is a story about a bank robery, a kidnapping, and a troublesome (darn) cat. Ingrid Randall (Dorothy Provine) and her younger sister Patti (Hayley Mills) are alone in the suburbs while their parents are travelling abroad. The cat (D.C - for Darn Cat) follows Iggy (Frank Gorshin), a bank robber, and his partner to an apartment where they are hiding a hostage - bank employee Margaret Miller (Grayson Hall). The bad guys let the cat in, and when left alone, Margaret scratches "help" on the back of her wristwatch and puts it around the cat's neck. When Patti finds the watch she calls the FBI - and mayhem ensues.

Scene: FBI Agent Zeke Kelso (Dean Jones) sets up headquarters at the Randall home to track DC with a bugging device. Meanwhile, their neighbor Gregory Benson (Roddy McDowall), who is smitten by Ingrid - tries to protect her - with a shotgun.

Monogram: George confronts Zeke - hiding an upstairs bedroom closet - in his monogramed brown robe - initials GJB.
