Director: Frank Perry Synopsis: The movie version of the best selling tell-all memoir by Christina Crawford about growing up with her adoptive, abusive, alcoholic mother - the famous actress Joan Crawford. Scene: Christina (Diana Scarwid), now an adult, is folding laundry with Joan (Faye Dunaway) when her mother breaks down and reveals that she has lost her movie contract and is broke.
