The flowing swirls of this classic monogram style are done in satin stitch with ample underlay to create a rounded look. The letters in this single-initial monogram style are framed by an arc on either side, done in two colors. Within the satin stitch border are areas of seed stitch, which add a luxurious texture as a counterpoint to the satin stitching. The letters can be used without the border by stopping your machine after the first color, or deleting the brackets in your embroidery software program. ››Detailed Info ››Catalog Page ››Compare Styles Borders - Soft BorderLace 2 - $49.95
The artwork for the lettering in this monogram style is from 1913. The initials are complimented by an oval-shaped background grid with a fancy scalloped edge. The design is digitized for appliquÈ, so fabric can be placed behind the gird, or fabric removed for a true lace effect. We have included color changes to allow each element to be sewn with a different thread color - or sewn all in one tone if you prefer. ››Detailed Info ››Catalog Page ››Compare Styles Borders - Soft BorderPerennial 1 - $49.95
This monogram style is derived from a 1940s vintage monogrammed hankie in our Monogram Museum collection. The fluid satin stitch letters are framed by a three color oval border - a stylized satin stitch vine motif with a twist effect, along with leaves and four delicate satin stitch flowers with open centers. This style looks wonderful sewn all in one color, tone-on-tone. The letters can be used alone by skipping the border, which sews first. ››Detailed Info ››Catalog Page ››Compare Styles Borders - Soft BorderPerennial 2 - $49.95
Inspired by a 1940s vintage monogrammed hankie in our Monogram Museum collection, this elaborate style includes several digitizing techniques based on handwork. There are small oval seed stitch fill patterns, bordered by satin stitch edges and leaf details. Short sections of chain stitch create an overall oval border, finished with satin stitch flowers at the top and bottom. The monogram letters are digitized with several underlay layers to create extra lift for the satin stitches, and several small split columns create depressions, as often seen in finely crafted hand embroidery. ››Detailed Info ››Catalog Page ››Compare Styles Borders - Soft BorderPerennial 3 - $49.95
This monogram style was inspired by a vintage embroidered monogram from our extensive collection. The original is all one color - white-on-white - and this style will look elegant sewn that way. In order to add some additional design flexibility we have digitized color breaks for the different elements of the garland so that a complex palette of spring colors can be used. All of the elements are satin stitch. As with others of this type, you can sew the garland alone by stopping before the initial is sewn, or sew just the initial alone by skipping past the colors in the garland. ››Detailed Info ››Catalog Page ››Compare Styles Borders - Soft BorderRomanesque 2 - $42.46 |
