Unique Monograms combining multiple styles.
Monogram Styles Used:
For an oversized monogram on a towel, we wanted something solid, classical, not overly flouncy.
We started with the letter K from the Gothic 5 XL Monogram Set, and first used our software to delete the vine background (color 1) This left just the letter - 2 colors - in need of something to finish and frame the design.
From Monogram Flourishes 3 we chose the design Year:1925, which is a two color corner bracket that has an architectural quality reminiscent of decorative ironwork. We copied this design 3 times, rotated the copies, and arranged them so that the exterior edges produced a square format.
The overall size is 7" (177mm) tall by 7" (177mm) wide.
How we made these monograms
Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
