Monogram Combinations

Unique Monograms combining multiple styles.

Monogram Styles Used:

Monogram: N

Start with the initial N from Arts and Crafts Monogram Set 8 - and add a simple embellishment.

Looking around through our product line for a part of some other monogram set that might be useful we found the background lily design from Avant Garde Monogram Set 1.

In it's original use it was intended as a design to put letters on top of for a three-letter monogram. It is a complete design, so all we had to do was create two copies, and visually experiment with rotating them in our software until they were in balance on either side of the letter. The bean stitch detail in the lilies makes a delicate counterpoint to the other stitch types.

The overall size is 3 1/2" (89mm) tall by 5 3/8" (135mm) wide.

How we made these monograms

Embroidery software programs make it easy to delete elements, copy and paste elements from other designs, resize different aspects, and merge elements together into one new design. Each program is a bit different in how the Edit functions are managed. Once you have learned to use yours, creating new monograms from other monogram parts is creative and fun. Experiment with different arrangements and colors.
