This style is from the 1930s. The background is an overlapping mesh, surrounded by a satin stitch border with a bean stitch hilight. The satin stitch monogram letter is flanked by two circular embellishments. The letters are digitized for appliqué, so a contrasting colored fabric can be laid under the mesh, or the design can be sewn as cutwork utilizing water-soluble stabilizer. Although digitized with 5 colors, this looks wonderfully subtle if sewn all in white.
